Finance Professional turned Executive Coach and Psychotherapist

Before moving into psychotherapy and executive coaching, I spent nearly 20 years working in Financial Services, primarily in London, across private equity, investment banking and wealth management.

Having worked in high-pressure corporate environments myself, I understand the demands that many professionals and leaders experience: the pace, responsibility, uncertainty and constant balancing of performance, relationships and personal wellbeing.

My own experience of corporate life is central to the way I work with clients. I know how easy it can be to appear successful on the outside whilst quietly struggling with stress, anxiety, burnout, self-doubt or feeling disconnected from yourself and others. I love working with people to help them become the best versions of themselves that they can be, and achieve the professional success that they are seeking.

This understanding allows me to offer a space that is both professional and genuinely compassionate, somewhere clients can think clearly, speak openly and feel supported without judgement.

I am a qualified Executive Coach and hold the EMCC Senior Practitioner accreditation. Alongside this, I have undertaken training in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Edinburgh and am trying (!) to do a Doctorate in this area. I have also studied Organisational Psychology at the University of Aberdeen and a Master’s degree in Leadership with the University of Bristol. In addition, I am training as a Master Practitioner in Eating Disorders and Obesity with the National Centre for Eating Disorders.

My work combines psychological understanding with practical insight, supporting clients through challenges such as stress, burnout, confidence issues, career transitions, leadership pressures, emotional wellbeing and personal change.

I aim to create a warm, thoughtful and confidential space where clients feel safe to explore what is going on beneath the surface, while also helping them move towards meaningful and sustainable change.

I work primarily online and am highly mindful of confidentiality and discretion, which many clients particularly value.

Outside of my professional work, I am a mother of three young children and enjoy music, museums and art, travel, the countryside, wellness and reading whenever I can squeeze it in. Much of my free time is spent with my family, our Australian Labradoodle, and taxiing children to various activities.

I am a Trustee on the Board of Wellspring Scotland, a mental health and counselling charity, and a Mentor with MCR Pathways, a charity supporting care-experienced young people.

Why Me?

When I started out as a financial planner, like many others I attended the same training every year on technical subjects. I quickly realised that, whilst that’s of course very important, most of the challenges that my clients were bringing to my meeting were related to their feelings and behaviours. So I decided that year to delve into the psychology of money to upskill in knowledge and techniques that would allow me to better help them move forward in their relationship with money.

I’ve been studying this for years now and I want to help others learn this too, so they can embed into their own client work. My professional clients report being able to establish deeper and more meaningful relationships with their own clients, getting better results for them, stronger relationships and attracting more referrals from impressed clients.

I gained so much insight from this. I became more confident, calmer under pressure, and far less driven by anxiety. I had had executive coaching before, but nothing like this. And my employer wasn't connected so I could relax
